Part C - Medicare Advantage
- These are plans offered by the service area in which you live
- Includes all benefits and services covered under Part A and Part B
- Usually include Medicare prescription drug coverage (Part D) as part of the plan
- Offered and run by Medicare-approved private insurance companies that follow rules set by Medicare
- Benefits may vary per plan
- Providers may vary per plan
- Formularies may vary per plan
- May include extra benefits and services for an extra cost
Part D - Prescription Medications
- Help cover the cost of prescription drugs
- Offered and run by Medicare approved private insurance companies that follow rules set by Medicare
- May help lower your prescription drug costs and help protect against higher cost in the future
